M&S website relaunch for Christmas

Mark & Spencer website has redesign for the Christmas period.

The new look and improved user interaction has been made for the sake of the busy Christmas period, M&S hopes that customers have better and easier navigation through the website. New features including catwalk video and fabric swatches for clothing items. The website relaunched on the 13th of October 2009 also includes reviews and ratings in search results, and a pop-up shopping basket to ensure users aren’t directed away from shopping pages.

Dave Hughes, director of M&S Direct, said, “We’re very excited about the changes as they’ll dramatically improve the customer journey from browsing to basket. We’re certain this will give our customers more confidence when buying with us and attract new shoppers to the site.” The company’s online sales increased by 30% in the last quarter, helped by the introduction of its online video service.
